Active Shooter Awareness
In response to the recent tragic event in Las Vegas, I believe it is best to utilize this month’s security briefing to advise everyone how to respond to active shooters.
Because active shooter situations are often over within 10 to 15 minutes, law enforcement are usually unable to respond in time to prevent serious injury or death for those in the line of fire. No matter where we reside, active shooters are major threats that we must all become mentally and physically prepared for.
Below you will find a link to a short briefing administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security which will provide the basics for raising awareness and preparing yourself for potential threats you may encounter.
